# Confluence

> Connect Confluence to train your agent on your team's documentation and wiki pages.

## Connecting Confluence

Confluence connects via the Atlassian Marketplace:

1. Go to **Integrations > Confluence**
2. Click **Install from Marketplace**
3. Follow the Atlassian Marketplace flow to install the eesel AI app
4. Authorize the app in your Confluence workspace

### Prerequisites

* A Confluence Cloud workspace (Atlassian Cloud only)
* Admin permissions to install marketplace apps

## What gets synced

Your Confluence pages are automatically synced once the app is installed. This includes:

* All published pages in your workspace
* Page content, headings, and formatting
* Nested page hierarchies

## Sync frequency and updates

* Pages are automatically synced after installation
* Content is periodically re-synced to pick up changes
* Edits to Confluence pages are reflected in your agent's knowledge after the next sync

## Tips

**Organize your Confluence space.** Well-structured spaces with clear page hierarchies produce better results. Your agent uses the document structure to understand context.

**Keep pages current.** Outdated Confluence pages lead to outdated answers. Review and update your documentation regularly.

**Combine with Jira.** If your team uses both Confluence and Jira, connect both — Confluence for documentation and [Jira](https://docs.eesel.ai/connect-your-tools/helpdesks/jira) for issue management.

## Troubleshooting

**App not indexing content?**

* Verify the app is properly installed in your Confluence workspace
* Check that you have the correct permissions
* Contact [support](https://docs.eesel.ai/support/contact) if pages still aren't appearing after 30 minutes

**Content seems stale?**

* Trigger a manual re-sync from the integration settings
* Check the sync status in your sidebar (look for the sync indicator)
