# Project Management

Connect a project management tool to your AI agent so it answers where a task stands, who owns it and when it is due, and creates or updates tasks.

A project management integration connects your AI agent to the tool where your team tracks its work. Your agent can then answer status questions in Slack, your helpdesk or the dashboard chat, and keep the tracker up to date.

Your AI teammate answers the status questions your team keeps asking. It reads your projects and tasks. So it can say where a task stands, who owns it and when it is due, with a link. It can also create and update tasks, so a conversation ends with the tracker in the right state.

## FAQ

<details>

<summary>Which project management tools can I connect to my AI agent?</summary>

Asana is the project management tool with its own guide here. For any other tool, the [integrations overview](/integrations/overview.md) has the full list and explains how to ask for one.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can an AI agent start working when a task changes in my project management tool?</summary>

No. A new or updated task does not start your agent. It works in your project tool while it handles something else, such as a Slack message, a helpdesk ticket or a dashboard chat.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Will my AI agent change tasks without asking?</summary>

Only in the ways you set it up to. It can look tasks up, and create or update them, depending on which actions you let it use.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Where can my team ask the AI agent about project status?</summary>

Anywhere your agent works: a mention in [Slack](/integrations/communication/slack.md), a ticket in your helpdesk, or the eesel dashboard chat. Each of those needs an automation turned on first, which you can ask for in the dashboard chat.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.eesel.ai/integrations/project-management.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
