# Confluence

Train your AI bots on your Confluence pages. eesel AI will respond based on these pages and provide links to the sources. A perfect solution to navigating a messy and overwhelming Confluence wiki.

There are two ways to integrate your Confluence with eesel AI:

## Adding pages using our Confluence app

1. Start a free trial for [AI for Confluence](https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1230921/chatgpt-for-confluence-ai-chat?tab=overview\&hosting=cloud) from the Atlassian Marketplace.
2. Go to the “Getting Started” page.
3. Click “Start onboarding” and create an eesel account.
4. Add pages in your Confluence as Knowledge.
   1. Find the settings for the app and choose which pages you would like to add.

   2. Choose your knowledge and “Save changes”.

5. Chat with your Knowledge.

6. Access AI for Confluence at time through the “Apps” dropdown in the toolbar.
7. Optional: Integrate this with other apps.
   1. There is so much more this app can do. You can:
      1. Integrate [helpdesks](https://docs.eesel.ai/legacy/integrations/broken-reference) with Jira Service Management, Zendesk, or Intercom, so AI Agents can automatically deflect Tier 1 tickets or AI Assist can help your team with draft responses.
      2. Integrate the AI chat with your [Slack](https://docs.eesel.ai/legacy/integrations/slack) and [Microsoft Teams](https://docs.eesel.ai/legacy/integrations/teams).
      3. Embed an [AI chatbot](https://docs.eesel.ai/legacy/products/ai-chat-bot) into your website.

## Adding pages using the browser extension

eesel AI can be trained on your Confluence in just minutes.

To do so, simply:

1. Navigate to the bot you’d like to train.\

2. Click the plus button in the Integrations menu of the sidebar.\

3. Select Confluence.\

4. Follow the instructions to install the Chrome browser extension.

5. Open the extension, and select the bot you'd like to train from the drop down menu.

6. When you have your Confluence open, click 'Add Sources', and select either 'Add current tab', or 'Add all tabs in window.'

For tables, we suggest exporting as a CSV and uploading that directly. It’ll work best in that format.

## Frequently Asked Questions

<summary>Does the Confluence app or Confluence pages auto-sync?</summary>

Confluence app integration: Yes, the Confluence app integration will automatically sync your pages when a page is updated. However, for deleting or archiving pages you will need to manually resync for the changes to appear in eesel.

Confluence pages added via extension: No, these pages are indexed as they are when they are initially added. You will need to re-index these pages with the extension when they are updated. If pages are frequently updated, we recommend using our app instead.
